Nigel Kennedy ft. The Kroke Band

I adore listen Bulgarian folk and Balkan's music i have discovered these unbelievable performance of Nigel Kennedy and polish band Kroke. They have performed three songs: Kazimirez;Jovano,Jovanke and Ederlezi. I give a little information about them and after you can listen them.

Nigel Kennedy was born in Brighton, East Sussex, and comes from a musical lineage. His grandfather was Lauri Kennedy, a British-born musician and principal cellist with the BBC Symphony Orchestra[1] who played with Fritz Kreisler, Jascha Heifetz, Arthur Rubinstein and others. His grandmother was Dorothy Kennedy, a pianist, who accompanied John McCormack and taught Enrico Caruso's children. Lauri and Dorothy settled in Australia where their son, the cellist John Kennedy, was born. He was principal cellist with Sir Thomas Beecham's Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. John had a relationship with an English piano teacher, Scylla Stoner. John left Scylla (they were unmarried) to return to Australia. He did not know she was pregnant by him at the time, and for many years he was unaware of the existence of his son, Nigel Kennedy, whom he met for the first time when Nigel was 11.Nigel Kennedy has about 30 close relatives in Australia, whom he visits whenever he tours Australia.A boy prodigy, as a 10-year-old Kennedy would pick out Fats Waller tunes on the piano after hearing his stepfather's jazz records.A pupil at the Yehudi Menuhin School under Yehudi Menuhin himself, Kennedy later studied at the Juilliard School in New York under Dorothy DeLay.

Kroke (Yiddish for Kraków) is a Polish trio formed in 1992 in Kraków by three lifelong friends and graduates of the Academy of Music in Kraków, Tomasz Lato (double bass), Tomasz Kukurba (violin), and Jerzy Bawoł (accordion).[1] Though known primarily as a klezmer band, Kroke create and play original compositions that employ authentic ornamentation, with modes and scales from both Klezmer and Sephardic music, resulting in a sound both contemporary and Jewish.
The trio has collaborated with many artists, for instance violinist Nigel Kennedy, with whom they made the album East Meets East. In 2003, the band became a quartet when percussionist Tomasz Grochot joined, hence the album name Quartet.
One of their songs, "The Secret of the Life Tree", features on the soundtrack of David Lynch's 2006 film Inland Empire.

I wish to share with you hits from Bulgarian Music Idol. This year there are so many people who don't have real assessment about their music possibility. There make really very funny things. I'll post their video clips and i hope that you'll be happy to see them.
Today I'll start with the best phenomenon her name is Valentina Hasan. First time when I have heard her i haven't believed that is true. She has sung song of Mariah Carey - Can't Live Without You. This woman doesn't know English and she sings this song how she heard it:). Many people have joked that she discover new language, but now I'll stop to write and I'll show the video.
